Since
their beginning in 1998, NEMESIS 3 has continued to grow while
changing for the better. Defining the area's new hard rock sound
they are constantly honing their writing skills while always
keeping the music interesting. Their writing style is distinctive
with multiple types of tunings and intricate rhythm patterns
introduced for each individual song.
It is not just straightforward 3 chord Rock and onto the next
song. The power behind the songs lies not only
in the hard driving chord and tempo changes but also in their
thought provoking lyrics. Just when you think the band is on
a hard rock frenzy they will change up with the occasional acoustic
rock ballad in honor of 9.11 or something similar keeping you
glued to the show! Currently signed with Frog & Scorpion
Records (Ohio) the band's first CD titled "Scream When
Needed" hit the street in April 2004, selling hundreds
of copies out of the box!
Founding
member Marc Wasmund delivers the tight guitar licks coupled
with soaring solos and strong harmonic vocals. Writing lyrics
from the heart and mind he makes you think, feel, and hear the
meaning of each song while punching you in the face delivering
a powerful voice seemingly out of nowhere. Although
a power trio at the present time, Marc's voice is truly the
4th instrument. With a background in keyboards and drums Marc
has been writing and playing music since the age of 10.
While
the original 3 members of NEMESIS 3 were searching for a dedicated
drummer, Dann Singer left his mark quickly with one audition.
It took Less than 1 hour of his killer drumming to seal his
spot with the band in August of 2001. Dan has played an integral
role in the writing and development of the band since entering
the picture. Dann's energy and driving beat behind the kit only
amplifies the sound and stage presence of N3, giving the crowd
an additional show within a show.
Previously
a 4-piece act, the band went through another round of personnel
changes in spring of 2003 with Marc and Dann left to figure
out the future of N3. Purely by coincidence, Bassist Steve Rowland
fell into the hands of N3. Having seen the band play at numerous
shows in Ohio, Steve was very familiar with their sound and
loved their stage presence. When approached by the band to audition,
Steve gladly accepted and after only 2 "sit in" rehearsals
became
a permanent fixture in April of 2003.
After keeping
a "close eye" on the band to see what direction they
would take, Frog & Scorpion Records began talking deal after
the band emerged on the club circuit once again as a true hard
rock trio. Although the band will be a 4 piece again sometime
in the future, it was the "HUGE sound" and consistent
attendance of loyal fans at gig after gig that persuaded the
label to make an offer. NEMESIS 3"s debut CD "Scream
When Needed" was produced by Jeff Marginean. The release
has 12 tracks and was mastered in NY by Ted Jensen who has mastered
the likes of Creed, Pearl Jam, and MANY others! The first single
"She Said" will be released to radio stations in Summer
2004, and the Band will be at a college or stage near you in
the near future for their "Scream As Needed Tour"
supporting the release.
